Designated as a historic landmark in 2006, the unique and elegant Wilsonian building first opened its doors in November of 1923 as a five-star hotel. For the buildings namesake, Corrine Simpson Wilson, the opening of the Wilsonian was the realization of a lifelong dream to construct the finest hotel west of the Mississippi River. In April of 1924, Hotel News Of The West proclaimed The Wilsonian Hotel to be "one of the finest in America ... without rival outside New York City." The Wilsonian is no longer a hotel, but it now offers seven floors of classic apartments. The building features a range of apartment sizes, including: efficiency studios (248 to 294 square feet), studios(410 to 473 square feet), and one and two bedrooms (649 to 908 square feet). The building also offers an impressive range of sizes for commercial space.
